Trilateral Meeting Concludes – Olguin's Statement

The trilateral meeting between the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhürman, concluded with the presence of the UN Special Envoy, Maria Angela Holguin. Unlike previous practices, only a written statement from Holguin was issued after the meeting, without a joint announcement. The statement notes that the two leaders shared their proposals for restarting negotiations, reviewed progress on Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs), and previous initiatives. It confirms the continued effort to reach agreement on various CBMs and to restart negotiations.
