Prisons Turned 5-Star Resort! – Float Sparks Outrage with Aristotelous Walking Alongside Maduro

The grand carnival parade in Limassol featured a satirical float titled “The 5-Star Prisons of Cyprus,” portraying Cypriot prisons as a luxury resort. The float depicted a critique of the justice system and the conditions in prisons. Anna Aristotelous, dressed as a police officer, stood in front of the float holding a placard with the message “Justice at its best and behind – The best.” Alongside her walked Nicolás Maduro, as a guest, adding an unexpected element to the parade. The presence of Maduro on the float caused a sensation and comments, as Cyprus traditionally maintains good relations with Venezuela. His selection as a guest on the float is considered a form of political satire. The Limassol parade, known for its humor and critical attitude, continued with other floats and carnival participants, offering a spectacle full of colors and laughter.
