Cyprus Film Friends Club to Screen Asghar Farhadi's 'A Hero'

The Cyprus Film Friends Club will screen the award-winning Iranian film 'A Hero / Ghahreman' by Asghar Farhadi on Monday, February 2nd, at the Pantheon cinema in Nicosia. The 127-minute film tells the story of Rahim, a man facing ethical dilemmas after finding a bag of gold coins during a prison furlough. The film explores the relationship between truth, lies, and public morality, starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, and Sahar Goldoost. It has already received the Grand Prix at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, solidifying Asghar Farhadi's position as one of the most important contemporary directors. The dialogue is in Persian with Greek subtitles. The screening is part of the Club's long-standing tradition of showing quality cinema every Monday.
