6 in 10 Americans Believe Trump Has Become Senile Due to Age: Reuters Poll

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll reveals that six in ten Americans, including a significant portion of Republicans, believe that Donald Trump has become senile due to his age. 61% of respondents said that Trump “has become senile with age,” with the percentage reaching 89% among Democrats and 30% among Republicans. At the same time, Trump's overall popularity remains relatively stable, fluctuating between 38% and 40%. The poll also shows that most Americans believe that the political leadership in the US is too old, with 79% agreeing that elected officials are too old to represent Americans. The perception of Trump's ability to deal with problems has decreased, with 45% describing him as “smart and capable,” down from 54% in September 2023. However, Republicans still largely consider him smart, with a rate of 81%.
