“Putin Has Not Won”: Zelenskyy’s Message on 4 Years of War - Calls on Trump to Visit Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, marking the fourth anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, assured that his country will not compromise on a peace that would betray the sacrifices of its people. He emphasized that Vladimir Putin has not achieved his goals and has not broken the morale of the Ukrainians. Simultaneously, he welcomed European leaders in Kyiv, including Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa, reiterating Ukraine's desire for a strong and just peace. Zelenskyy publicly invited Donald Trump to visit Ukraine, stressing that only a personal visit would allow him to fully understand the gravity of the situation. This invitation comes at a time when negotiations with Russia, mediated by the United States, appear to be stalled on the territorial issue. The Ukrainian president warned negotiators not to underestimate the sacrifices and struggle of the Ukrainian people, emphasizing that they cannot give up what has been achieved with so much effort. This stance indicates Ukraine's determination not to make concessions on critical issues. Antonio Costa, for his part, expressed his admiration for the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people, noting that they have managed to repel Russian forces and continue to defend their territory. He also recognized the significant progress Ukraine has made towards its accession to the European Union, despite the difficult circumstances.
