PASYKAF participated in the 5th meeting of the European SUNRISE project in Rome on January 26 and 27, 2026. The meeting, hosted by FAVO, marked a significant stage of progress as the project moves into the phase of wider implementation at the European level. Project partners focused on the practical implementation of pilot actions in schools, discussing the progress of school and student participation, as well as common approaches to addressing challenges. PASYKAF actively contributed to the discussions, sharing experiences and best practices from the Cypriot context. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of digital innovation to promote health and prevent cancer from a young age, presenting developments related to the SUNRISE digital ecosystem, which includes school programs, interactive tools, and educational games. In addition, issues of communication and dissemination of project results, as well as its expected long-term impact, were discussed. Partners, including PASYKAF, reviewed the progress of public awareness actions and the planning of results utilization at the policy level. The Director of Research and Development of PASYKAF, Ms. Maria Krini, stated that PASYKAF actively contributes to the SUNRISE project through the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative digital interventions for cancer prevention from a young age.
