Bennett Warns of Potential Radical Islamist-Turkey Alliance

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has voiced serious concerns about the potential formation of a new radical Islamist alliance led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In an interview with Bloomberg, Bennett warned of a possible axis between Turkey, Jolani, Qatar, and Hamas, noting that Israel has long faced the threat of Shiite radical Islam. Bennett emphasized that Turkey has a responsibility to choose between peace and supporting terrorism and Islamism, stating that Israel will not remain passive if it feels surrounded by terror. This warning comes at a time of heightened tension between Israel and Turkey, against the backdrop of recent interceptions of rockets heading towards Turkey. Bennett underscored that Turkey could follow the path of Iran, but expressed hope that it would choose a different course.
