Published January 2, 2026, 08:24

The daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has made her first official visit to the family mausoleum, where the remains of her grandfather Kim Jong Il and great-grandfather Kim Il Sung lie. Her appearance in state media, surrounded by officials, is being interpreted by experts as an indication of her preparation for succession. The young woman has been appearing at various public events since 2022, including missile tests and visits to China. Although her age and name have not been officially revealed, she is estimated to be 13 or 14 years old and is known as Ju Ae. This move reinforces the tradition of dynastic succession in North Korea.
