Zelensky in Paris to Prevent Ukraine from Being Overshadowed by Middle East Conflict

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Paris for talks with Emmanuel Macron to discuss ways to increase pressure on Russia at a time when the Middle East conflict is dominating global attention. The visit aims to ensure that international focus does not shift away from Ukraine and that Russia does not exploit the situation in the Middle East. The French side emphasizes that support for Ukraine will remain steadfast and that Russia is the one hindering peace. This is Zelensky's 12th visit to France since the start of the Russian invasion and follows a stop in Romania. During his stay in Paris, Zelensky will meet with Macron, participate in a press conference, and speak to students at the Institute of Political Studies. The French presidency stresses that Russia is "mistaken" if it believes it can benefit from the current geopolitical situation.
