The Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture has announced a guided tour of the upgraded exhibition of the Cyprus Museum on March 4, 2026, at 6:00 PM, led by archaeologists. The tour will be in Greek and will be followed at 7:30 PM by a concert by the musical ensemble Nābu Pēra within the museum. Nābu Pēra is a Cypriot musical trio consisting of Savvas Thoma (bendir, vocals), Natasha Chatzianndreou (vibraphone, percussion), and Dimitris Yasemidis (flute, sylphyo, and electronics). Their music combines elements of contemporary classical music, improvisation, electronic music, and Mediterranean musical traditions. Their work, titled “Soundscapes of Nicosia,” draws inspiration from the urban sound of Nicosia, offering a sonic exploration of the city. This event aims to promote the extended opening hours of the Cyprus Museum. The museum operates every first Wednesday of the month from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and admission is free. The event is part of a series of initiatives aimed at making the museum more accessible to the public and showcasing its exhibits.
