Three Skiers Dead in French Alps Avalanches

Three people died and one was seriously injured in avalanches that struck the French Alps on Saturday. Two French skiers were buried and killed at the Val-d'Isère resort, while another skier was head-injured and hospitalized at Ares-Boffort, where a further man also lost his life. Authorities had issued a warning for a 'high risk' of avalanches and urged skiers to avoid off-piste excursions. The tragedy highlights the dangers of off-piste skiing, especially in conditions of increased avalanche risk. Rescuers struggled to reach those missing due to the difficult weather conditions and the large amount of snow.
