Woman Killed After Airstrike in Tehran – Participated in Protest at Time of Blast

A woman lost her life after an airstrike during a protest on the streets of Tehran for Al-Quds Day. According to Iran's state television channel, Press TV, shrapnel from the morning airstrike by the US and Israel killed a woman who was participating in the rally. Despite the woman's death, protesters continued their march, carrying Iranian flags and banners and chanting slogans against the US. Iranian state television broadcast footage from the demonstration. The demonstration took place for Al-Quds Day, an annual event in solidarity with Palestinians and against Israel. The airstrike occurred during the demonstration, but did not deter protesters from continuing their march.
