The Council of Ministers approved amendments to the Minor State Aid Scheme of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, aiming to facilitate state aid to social care providers. The amendments concern three regulations. The first allows for an advance payment of 30% of the state aid for operating expenses to organizations that have received aid in the last three years, provided all necessary documents are submitted promptly. This is being done to meet the request of the organizations and allow them to implement their programs more promptly, as the first installment is usually paid in May or June. The second amendment concerns the priority for the operation of day care programs for infants (0-2 years), such as nurseries. The third concerns offers for the purchase of equipment/furniture, reducing the number of required offers depending on the cost of the purchase. Specifically, no offer is required for expenses up to €2,000, 2 offers are required for expenses between €2,001-€15,000, and 4 offers are required for expenses over €15,001.
