Increased Inspections of Businesses in Limassol – Two Arrests for Illegal Employment

The Limassol Police are intensifying inspections of barbershops and other commercial establishments managed by foreigners, as part of a targeted campaign. During inspections carried out yesterday, five establishments were reported for violations. Specifically, two barbershops were reported for operating without a license and three mini-markets for operating without a license and a license to sell tobacco products. Seizures were also made and arrests were made for illegal employment, while an out-of-court settlement of €4,000 was imposed for undeclared work. The inspections also concerned the identification of foreign workers, without any irregularities being found.
