New Fuel Price Increases Expected by Petrol Station Owners in Cyprus – 90-Day Supply

Petrol station owners in Cyprus estimate that there will be a new slight increase in fuel prices in the near future. At the same time, they reassure about the adequacy of supplies, noting that there are available for approximately 90 days. The increases of the last 20 days have been gradual and prices may reach their highest levels, increasing by 5 to 6 cents. The President of the Pan-Cypriot Association of Petrol Station Owners suggests fuel subsidies, as had been applied in 2022, and rejects the imposition of a price cap, considering it ineffective. He also points out that the state collects increased revenue from VAT due to the increase in prices, a fact that strengthens the argument for a partial state subsidy.
