New evidence in the Viomylanda tragedy: Hole found in propane pipes

As part of the investigation into the tragedy at the Viomylanda biscuit factory in Trikala, where five workers lost their lives, a puncture was found in propane pipes in the factory basement. According to information from the Fire Department, the inspection revealed the presence of pipes with a visible puncture. At the same time, there are testimonies from workers who report that there was a gas leak in the factory for days, without the appropriate measures being taken. The mother of one of the victims reported that for more than a month, workers had reported the smell of gas to those in charge, but there had been no response. Other workers say they did not notice any smell, while others point to the lack of maintenance and the dangerous condition of the facilities. The owner of the company, the safety technician and the shift technician were arrested, accused of manslaughter, aggravated bodily harm, arson and explosion. A case file is being prepared against them and they will testify to officers of the Arson Crime Investigation Directorate. The response from Tehran came after Italy announced its plans to include the Guards in the list of "terrorist organizations". Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the loss of civilian life during the protests requires a clear response and that Rome, in coordination with other EU partners, will propose including them on the list of terrorist organizations, as well as imposing individual sanctions on those responsible for the heinous acts. Tehran responded by summoning the Italian ambassador for explanations.
