New Blows to Iran and Lebanon – Retaliation with Missiles and Injuries (video)

The war in the Middle East is entering its fourth week, with clashes escalating and strikes continuing on both sides. The United States and Israel continue to carry out operations against targets in Iran and Lebanon, while Tehran responds with missile retaliation. Iran claims that new air strikes hit the uranium enrichment facility in Natanz. Israel denies any involvement in the operation, blaming the United States, in a development that adds another level of tension to the already tense situation. At the same time, the Trump administration has temporarily relaxed sanctions against Iran, allowing the export of significant quantities of oil, in an effort to stabilize international energy markets. However, according to a Reuters analysis, the conflict appears to be spiraling out of Washington's control. Meanwhile, the Biden administration is reportedly considering further military options, including the possible deployment of ground forces in the region, to counter Iran's nuclear program. In the meantime, tensions are also extending beyond the Middle East. According to a Wall Street Journal report, an Iranian missile attack allegedly hit the US-British military base on Diego Garcia Island in the Indian Ocean, according to US officials. Amid this climate, Iranian President Masoud Pezeskian attempted to tone down the rhetoric, stating in a post on X that his country does not seek conflict with its neighbors and other Muslim countries, which he described as "brothers". On the battlefield, attacks continue with casualties and injuries. In northern Israel, at least eight people were injured in a rocket attack in the Maalot-Tarshicha area, according to Israeli media, with Hezbollah allegedly launching a barrage of attacks. In southern Israel, in the city of Dimona, four people were injured after a strike, with reports of a building collapsing and ongoing rescue operations in the area. The conflict appears to be expanding and intensifying, with diplomatic efforts to de-escalate underway, but without yielding substantial results so far.
