New Foot-and-Mouth Disease Cases: Outbreak Spreads in Three Regions

The situation with foot-and-mouth disease in Cyprus is rapidly deteriorating, with new cases appearing in three areas of the Larnaca province: Oroklini, Troulloi, and Aradippou. The geographical spread of the disease is growing alarmingly. The National Guard has been called upon to assist in managing the affected animals, and special equipment has been allocated for excavating burial sites. Farmers have suggested suitable locations for the burial of animals. In addition, a special investigative team has been formed by the Larnaca Police Investigation Directorate to investigate any potential criminal offenses related to the spread of the disease. The investigations cover the entire spectrum of cases, with the aim of establishing any responsibilities.
