New Complaint Regarding Patient Death at Larnaca General Hospital

A new complaint has been filed regarding potential medical negligence at Larnaca General Hospital, following the death of a 92-year-old patient. The patient's daughter accuses the hospital of serious omissions, appalling conditions, and a lack of coordination. According to the complaint, the patient was admitted for a mild stroke but was delayed in being transferred to a ward due to a lack of beds. During the transfer, he was given food when he shouldn't have been, causing aspiration. Additionally, there were delays in inserting a nasogastric tube, resulting in him not receiving necessary medication. The patient's daughter states that her father died without his deteriorating health being noticed in time, and four other patients also died during his hospital stay. A complaint has been submitted to the hospital administration and the Cyprus Public Health Services Organization (OKYpY).
