Increased Air Traffic at Larnaca and Paphos Airports

Air traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports has increased by 16% during the winter season (November-January) compared to the previous year. This increase is due to agreements reached by Hermes Airports with airlines for year-round connectivity to Cyprus. A total of 30 airlines operate flights from Larnaca Airport to 54 destinations in 33 countries, with 4 new markets (Spain, Belgium, Slovakia, North Macedonia) and 10 new destinations. Paphos Airport is served by 8 airlines to 35 destinations in 17 countries, with the resumption of the Paphos-Amman route and the addition of two new destinations (Dusseldorf, Haifa). Despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, there is no apparent impact on air traffic to Cyprus, however, potential unrest may affect flight plans and lead to temporary route changes.
