Bangladesh: Bus Plunges into River with at Least 24 Dead – Shocking Video

At least 24 people died when a bus plunged into a river in Daulatdia, Bangladesh, on Wednesday, March 25th. The bus, carrying 40 passengers, capsized and sank to a depth of almost 9 meters into the Padma River while attempting to board a ferry. Rescuers recovered 22 bodies from inside the submerged bus, including five children, 11 women, and six men. Two women died shortly after being rescued. Eyewitnesses described the moment the bus fell into the water and the subsequent rescue efforts. Rescue and search operations involved units from the fire service, the army, the police, and the coast guard. Videos circulating on social media show the moment the bus loses control and falls into the water, with people screaming and trying to help. Authorities fear the death toll may rise as searches continue for any missing persons.
