Insufficient Evidence in Alleged Assault Case Against Paphos Mayor's Wife, Legal Service Finds

The Legal Service has determined that the evidence gathered in the case of the alleged assault of the wife of the suspended Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedonos, was insufficient to proceed with the case in court. The Police have been instructed to receive and evaluate any additional material that may emerge. At the same time, the case of alleged rape, in which Mr. Phaedonos is allegedly involved, is expected to be filed in the Limassol Court. Mr. Phaedonos has not yet been formally charged, and his guilt or innocence will be decided by the court.
