Cyprus Stock Exchange Closes with Losses

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) closed with losses on Tuesday. The General Index fell by 1.21% to 288.41 points, while the FTSE/CySE 20 decreased by 0.84% to 172.95 points. The total trading volume reached €2,494,515.81. Only the Investment Companies index recorded a slight increase (0.03%), while the Main and Alternative Markets indices fell by 1.07% and 1.32% respectively. A significant decrease (3.95%) was observed in the Hotels index. The share of Bank of Cyprus had the highest trading volume with €2,296,911.86, closing at €9.24 with a decrease of 0.86%. It was followed by shares of Demetra Investment, Logicom, Eurobank and Cyprus Cement. Overall, 4 shares moved upwards, 9 downwards, and 4 remained stable. The number of transactions was 175. The overall market picture was negative, with most shares recording losses.
