Madagascar: At Least 59 Dead After Cyclone Gezani

At least 59 people have died and 15 are missing after Cyclone Gezani struck Madagascar. The cyclone hit the country's second-largest city, Toamasina, six days ago, causing widespread damage. More than 800 people were injured and 16,000 were forced to leave their homes. Approximately 25,000 homes were destroyed or flooded, and many schools were also damaged. The city of Toamasina is operating with limited electricity (about 5%) and is facing water supply problems. International organizations and countries, such as China and France, have offered assistance. Cyclone Gezani also affected Mozambique, causing deaths and damage.
