Two members of an anarchist movement, Sara Artigione and Alessandro Mercoliano, were killed in Rome during the construction of an improvised bomb. The couple were known to police for their activism and were scheduled to participate in a protest regarding the detention conditions of anarchist Alfredo Cospito, who is serving a 20-year sentence for bombings.
