Stefanos Tsitsipas reached the quarterfinals of the Qatar Open, triumphing over Daniil Medvedev 2-0 (6-3, 6-4) in Doha. This was Tsitsipas's first victory after three consecutive defeats against Medvedev. In the quarterfinals, he will face the winner of the Fabian Marozsan-Andrey Rublev pairing, while also participating in the doubles quarterfinals with Alexei Popyrin.
