Marios Philippou Refuses to Appear in Feidias' 'Apology' Video

Paralympian Marios Philippou states that he does not wish to have his image featured in the 'apology' video of MEP Feidias Panagiotou. The Cyprus Confederation of Organisations of People with Disabilities (KY.SO.A.), having received authorization from Philippou, states that the characterization made by Panagiotou remains in public view and that attributing the public's outrage to political motives is an outrage. KY.SO.A. condemns the attempt to politicize the case, emphasizing that the defense of human rights should not be linked to political expediency. The organization believes that the use of the video with Philippou is an attempt to justify the MEP's controversial statements. The KY.SO.A.'s announcement comes after the release of Feidias Panagiotou's 'apology' video, in which he attempted to justify his initial statements, describing them as 'unintentional' and expressing 'deep regret'.
