Loizidis: "Implementation of our plan begins in 2026"

The Cyprus Football Federation (CFF) held a Vasilopita (New Year's cake cutting) event attended by sports officials, football representatives, and Bishop Gregory of Mesaoria. CFF President Charis Loizidis stated that the Federation has assessed the current situation and needs, and is immediately beginning to implement an action plan with many ideas and goals. Mr. Loizidis referred to the meeting with the Presidents of the First Division teams and the announcement of the Football Technical Committee, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and expertise. He expressed his wishes for the success of Cypriot teams in European competitions and the National team, with a focus on 2026. Furthermore, the President of the CFF thanked the Federation's staff for their dedication and work. The event was also attended by the coach of the Men's National Team, Apostolos Mantzios, and his assistants, as well as the technical staffs of all National teams. For his part, the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO), Yiannis Ioannou, emphasized the excellent relationship between the CSO and the CFF and presented the Organization's plan to improve sports facilities in Cyprus. The CSO has set a goal to support Women's and Rural Football.
