A serious work accident occurred at a construction site in Paralimni, with two Greek Cypriot workers injured after falling from a scaffold approximately two meters high. The workers, aged 64 and 56, suffered traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures. Police and the Labour Inspection Service are investigating the circumstances of the accident, focusing on whether safety protocols were followed, as the scaffold was on wheels. Statements are being taken from witnesses, including the site supervisor. The 64-year-old is hospitalized at the Nicosia General Hospital, while the 56-year-old is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Famagusta General Hospital. Their health condition remains critical.
