Life Sentence Inmates Also Charged with Cinematic Robbery at Businessman's Home

Five Arab nationals, aged 27 to 43, are to stand trial for a cinematic robbery that took place at a businessman's home in Larnaca two years ago. Four of the accused had already been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Dimitris Andronikou, known as Dimitroui. The robbery was reported by the businessman's wife, who, along with her two housemaids, experienced moments of terror as four masked men broke into their home and threatened them with garden shears. The perpetrators stole jewelry, watches, and cash totaling €188,000. Police, through the analysis of security camera footage, managed to identify the perpetrators and the vehicle used, which had been stolen from Limassol. One of the stolen watches was later found in a jewelry store in Lebanon, while a suspect was arrested for brokering the sale. The accused face charges of conspiracy, robbery, burglary, and theft. The case will be heard before the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court on April 2nd. A 43-year-old Iraqi national has appealed his detention, with the court reserving its decision.
