A wave of bad weather is hitting Cyprus from Saturday (14/03), with rain and thunderstorms in many areas. A yellow warning for severe weather phenomena has been issued, valid until Sunday morning. The forecast indicates prolonged rainfall, isolated thunderstorms, and strengthened northeastern winds. The Police have issued a statement urging drivers to be careful, drive at low speeds, and maintain safe distances. The temperature will range around 16 degrees inland, 17 on the coast, and 8 in the mountains. The forecast for the evening reports continued rain and thunderstorms, with the possibility of snow in the higher mountains. The winds will turn westerly and weaken. The temperature will drop to 9 degrees in the mountains, 12 on the coast, and close to zero in the higher mountains, where frost is expected. On Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with the possibility of local showers.
