Cyprus: Incident with Suspicious Object Resolved, Airspace Remains Open

Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis announced that the incident involving a suspicious object has been resolved following an investigation by competent authorities. The authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures. Mr. Letymbiotis clarified that Cyprus' airspace was never closed, but as part of standard procedures, two flights were briefly asked to hold, to provide necessary operational space. Ultimately, the captain of one flight chose to return to Athens, while the other landed normally. Official updates will continue, according to the Spokesperson.
