Kremlin: Potential Meeting with Zelenskyy Must Be Well-Prepared

Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov stated that any future meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must be well-prepared and outcome-oriented. Russia has not ruled out such a meeting and offers Zelenskyy to visit Moscow with guaranteed security, a proposal previously rejected with Zelenskyy counter-proposing a visit by Putin to Kyiv. Meanwhile, a US official reported that the two leaders are “very close” to a meeting following US mediation in peace talks held in Abu Dhabi last week. Russia insists on the need for substantial preparation for such a meeting to be meaningful.
