The fire at the Cran Montana bar, which caused 40 deaths, started from "sparklers" placed in the mouths of champagne bottles that came into contact with the ceiling. 113 of the 119 injured have been identified, with most being Swiss citizens, but also nationals from France, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, and Portugal. Approximately 50 injured have been or will be transferred to specialized burn centers in European countries. The identification of the deceased continues.
