Cyprus Remains a Safe Tourist Destination, Says Deputy Minister of Tourism

The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, assured that Cyprus remains a safe tourist destination despite recent geopolitical developments. During his presence at the TUI Cyprus Marathon in Paphos, he emphasized that tourist activity continues uninterrupted, with over 2,500 people arriving in Cyprus for the marathon. However, he acknowledged that some impact on tourism has been observed in recent days, with cancellations and a slowdown in new bookings, mainly for the coming months. Mr. Koumis reiterated Cyprus' commitment to promoting peace and supporting international efforts to restore stability.
