EU Launches App to Combat Cyberbullying and Protect Youth

The European Commission has unveiled an Action Plan to tackle cyberbullying and protect young people online. The plan includes the development of an EU-wide app for reporting cyberbullying incidents, allowing victims to securely store and submit evidence to national helplines. Furthermore, the Commission aims to coordinate national approaches, promote better digital practices, and review the Digital Services Act (DSA) guidelines regarding the protection of minors. The goal is to create a unified front against cyberbullying, address the issue on video-sharing platforms, and ensure the implementation of provisions related to artificial intelligence and transparency.
