Guilty Plea Proposed for Father Antonios and Four Others in 'Ark of the World' Case

The prosecutor of the Athens Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Appeal proposed the conviction of Father Antonios and four co-defendants for misdemeanors related to allegations of abusive behavior at the “Ark of the World” organization. The prosecutor argued that Father Antonios was the “central figure” of the organization and had a say in important matters concerning minors. She also requested the conviction of other employees for incidents of prolonged isolation and assault of minors, while proposing the acquittal of two defendants. The prosecutor proposed a conviction for moral instigation by Father Antonios in cases of abuse at the Volos facility, as well as for coercive acts and physical harm to residents. At the same time, she requested his acquittal for certain allegations of abuse in Chios.
