KEVE – Businesses: Seeking Energy Investments in Bahrain

Cypriot businesses are seeking investment opportunities in the energy sector in Bahrain, as part of efforts to deepen economic relations between the two countries. The KEVE (Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-organized a business forum aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. The president of KEVE, Stavros Stavrou, emphasized that Cyprus can serve as a gateway for Bahraini companies seeking access to the European Union. The creation of synergies between businesses in the two countries is considered important for competitiveness in the global market. For his part, the president of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdulla Nass, pointed out that the current period is ideal for cooperation in areas such as technology, industry, agriculture, shipping and investment. He considered Cyprus as an ideal place to enter the Gulf markets. The Minister of Commerce and Industry of Bahrain, Abdulla Adel Fakhro, highlighted the common characteristics of the two countries, such as their island nature, similar GDP and an economy based on services, tourism and technology. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the two Chambers.
