Missing Kittens from Supermarket Area: Animal Welfare Concerns Raised

The Movement of Ecologists is reporting the disappearance of kittens from the outdoor area of a supermarket, where they were cared for by animal lovers. According to reports, an unknown man is trapping the kittens and taking them away in a car. The Animal Police have been informed, but so far there has been no positive development. The complainants state that they have seen the man trapping the kittens and putting them in a car, and there are reports of similar incidents at other supermarkets. The disappearance of the kittens is causing anxiety among volunteers, who are worried about their fate. The Movement of Ecologists reminds that abandoning animals is illegal and calls on the Police to locate the perpetrator and return the kittens to their area. At the same time, it calls on the animal welfare community to inform the authorities of any information. In addition, the Movement expresses complaints about the difficulty of contacting the Nicosia Animal Police and reports general problems in the operation of the Animal Police on a nationwide basis, requesting a meeting with the new Minister of Justice.
