Έξι άνθρωποι εντοπίστηκαν νεκροί και ένας αγνοείται μετά τη συντριβή ελικοπτέρου, ανακοίνωσε το υπουργείο Εσωτερικών του Κατάρ.
Σε ανάρτησή του στο Χ το υπουργείο ανέφερε ότι «οι επιχειρήσεις έρευνας και διάσωσης» στα χωρικά ύδατα του Κατάρ οδήγησαν στον εντοπισμό έξι επιβαινόντων από τους επτά που βρίσκονταν στο ελικόπτερο.
Σύμφωνα με την ίδια πηγή, συνεχίζονται οι έρευνες για τον εντοπισμό του αγνοούμενου.
Νωρίτερα το υπουργείο Άμυνας του Κατάρ είχε επισημάνει ότι ελικόπτερο κατέπεσε στη θάλασσα λόγω «τεχνική βλάβης» στη διάρκεια «πτήσης ρουτίνας», χωρίς να διευκρινίσει τον τύπο του ελικοπτέρου ή τη φύση της αποστολής του.
