Limassol Carnival: Road Closures Announced for Parade

The Limassol Carnival is approaching, and authorities have announced traffic regulations that will be in effect on Sunday, February 22, 2026, due to the large parade. Archbishop Makarios III Avenue will be closed in sections, starting from the 'Enaerio' traffic lights at 08:00 and extending to the Agiou Nikolaou roundabout. Subsequently, the road section from the Agiou Nikolaou roundabout to the intersection with Apostolou Varnava Street will be closed at 11:00 and will remain closed until 24:00 for the parade. Drivers are urged to comply with the instructions of police officers and municipal traffic wardens and to use the parking spaces of the Municipality of Limassol and private parking spaces. These regulations aim to ensure the smooth running of the parade and avoid traffic chaos. After the parade, the celebrations will continue with a large carnival dance in the Old Port Square at 21:00.
