Kalomira: I Want My Sons' Girlfriends to Be Greek

Singer Kalomira stated that she would like her sons' girlfriends to be Greek, as this would seem easier for her. Referring to the possible meeting with her sons' partners, she expressed her fear of how she would react, as she wants her children to have Greek roots. Kalomira added that she can understand mothers-in-law who react negatively to their daughters-in-law, as they may feel that their children's relationship is threatened. She emphasized that it is natural to want to protect what one has raised with love and care. The singer met her husband, Giorgos Bousalis, in 2006 and they married in 2010. They have three children: Nikos, Dimitris, and Anastasia. Kalomira's statement was made on a show, where the challenges of relationships and parental expectations were discussed.
