Chancellor Scholz: Europe Must Learn to Speak the Language of Power

German Chancellor Friedrich Scholz stated that Europe must learn to speak the language of power, as the global order is changing and the politics of power is strengthening over international law. He emphasized that military power is important and that the world is becoming more dangerous, with rules losing their value, increasing the risk of conflict. He expressed his support for Ukraine, condemning Russia's war and emphasizing that there will be no compromise with the 'criminal regime in Moscow'. At the same time, he acknowledged that the US has reduced its role as a guarantor power, but remains a friend of Europe. Chancellor Scholz stressed the need for Europe to take over its own defense, as we are neither at war nor at peace, but face constant cyberattacks, murders and propaganda. He warned that naive pacifism strengthens future wars. The statement by Chancellor Scholz reflects a growing concern for the security of Europe and the need for a more decisive and strong foreign policy, adapted to the new geopolitical challenges.
