36 Kilograms of Cannabis Resin Discovered by CYPOL in Akamas Riverbed

The CYPOL discovered 36 kilograms of cannabis resin in a riverbed in the Akamas area, in the province of Paphos. The quantity of drugs was found inside a package placed in the area, after evaluating information. The package contained 72 smaller packages with cannabis resin. Subsequent searches of the area did not reveal any further information or individuals involved. The CYPOL continues its investigations to identify those responsible. This arrest is part of the police’s efforts to combat drug trafficking in Cyprus. The incident indicates the existence of drug trafficking networks operating in the Akamas area and the need for more intensive control and surveillance. The CYPOL will continue to take measures to protect citizens and prevent drug trafficking.
