Iran: No Country Can Deprive Us of the Right to Enrich Uranium

The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, stated today that no country can deprive Iran of its right to enrich uranium, amid heightened tensions with the United States and talks to reach an agreement. He stressed that enrichment is the basis of the nuclear industry and essential for the production of nuclear fuel. Eslami emphasized that the Iranian nuclear program is progressing in accordance with the rules of the International Atomic Energy Agency and that Iran has the right to benefit peacefully from nuclear technology. The statement comes at a critical time, as talks to revive the nuclear deal have stalled. Iran's position remains firm, as it insists on its right to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, despite pressure and sanctions from the West. The continuation of uranium enrichment remains a key point of contention in negotiations with the United States and other countries.
