Iran Holds Naval Drills in Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy conducted naval drills in the Strait of Hormuz today, a day before the resumption of talks with the United States on Iran's nuclear program. The exercises, dubbed "Intelligent Control of the Strait of Hormuz," aim to test operational readiness against potential military threats. Iran has previously threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for global oil trade, as about 20% of the world's oil production passes through it. The exercises take place at a critical time, as nuclear talks are stalled and tensions in the region remain high.
