Iran Denies Trump's Claims of Execution Halt - Death Toll Exceeds 5,000

Iran's top prosecutor has vehemently denied claims made by US President Donald Trump regarding a halt in the executions of protesters, labeling them as false. Simultaneously, human rights organizations report that the death toll from the protests has surpassed 5,000, with fears that the actual number is even higher due to censorship and limited access to information. Tensions between the US and Iran are escalating with the deployment of a US strike force, including an aircraft carrier, to the Middle East. Trump has left the possibility of military action open, while analysts believe the build-up of military forces gives him more options. According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, the majority of the victims are protesters, including dozens of children, and over 26,800 people have been arrested. The Iranian government has provided a much lower death toll, which is disputed by independent sources. In addition to the US military presence, the United Kingdom has also announced the deployment of fighter jets to the Persian Gulf. Trump reiterated his threats of a harsher response in the event of further attacks from Iran, while the Iranian side responded with a military display and threats towards Israel.
