Mayor Expresses Satisfaction with Procedures for New P. Chrysochous Hospital

The Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Giotis Papachristofi, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the procedures for the construction of the new Hospital in Polis Chrysochous, emphasizing the importance of the project for the region. According to the Mayor, the foundation stone is expected to be laid in January 2027 and the project completed by the end of 2028. The new hospital will meet the modern healthcare needs of the residents of Polis Chrysochous and surrounding communities, as the existing hospital is old and no longer meets current requirements. The creation of the hospital is a long-standing request of the local community. The Mayor anticipates an increase in healthcare needs due to the development prospects of the region, making the timely creation of appropriate infrastructure essential. The Council of Ministers has decided on the expropriation of the land for the construction of the hospital, which will have an area of 21,000 sq.m.
