Mayor Expresses Satisfaction with Procedures for New P. Chrysochous Hospital

The Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Giotis Papachristofi, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the procedures concerning the construction of the new Hospital in Polis Chrysochous, describing it as an important and necessary project for the region. He noted that the project is progressing according to schedule, with a target of laying the foundation stone in January 2027 and completion by the end of 2028. The creation of the new hospital is a positive development for the region, as it will meet the modern health needs of residents and visitors. The existing hospital, which has been operating since the British colonial period, no longer meets today's requirements. The Mayor emphasized that the need for health services will increase significantly in the coming years, due to the development prospects of the region. The Council of Ministers decided on the expropriation of the land for the construction of the hospital, which will have an area of 21,000 sq.m.
