Death of Russian Businessman / "See" Scandal: Question and Believe Something Else Happened in Limassol

Russian media, specifically the Kommersant newspaper, are questioning the circumstances surrounding the death of former Uralkali CEO, Vladislav Baumgertner, who was found dead in Limassol. The businessman's family, particularly his older children, doubt the official cause of death (injury during climbing) and are requesting a new investigation by Russian authorities. According to the report, there are inconsistencies in the narrative of events, such as his phone remaining active after his disappearance and his presence at a hotel far from his home. The family's lawyer points out that Baumgertner had health problems that make the announced cause of death doubtful. The businessman had been living in Cyprus for the past few years, and police launched an investigation after his disappearance on January 7th. His body was found on January 14th in a ravine.
